Afrormosia Teak
Do you want to add beauty and sophistication to your home or office? If so, consider using afrormosia teak wood. This type of wood is known for its unique grain patterns and beautiful coloration. It is also very strong and durable, making it the perfect choice for furniture or flooring. In this blog post, we will discuss the benefits of using afrormosia teak wood and provide some examples of how it can be used in your home or office.
Not too long ago, I posted on my Instagram page a photo of me and my trusty cat, Mr. Sprinkles. We were outside unloading some boards I had traveled to Stillwater, Oklahoma, to purchase. While unloading the boards, the Mrs. caught a snap of me and the cat lining up the boards that consisted of walnut, red cedar fence pickets, white oak boards, and a beautiful set of afrormosia teak wood.
Once you learn the correct spelling of Afrormosia, you’ll discover that it is a beautiful type of teak wood that originates from West Africa. It’s a hardwood species in the same family as mahogany and shares many of the same qualities. Although I haven't worked with Afrormosia teak wood, I hear it is an excellent choice for furniture or flooring because it is very strong and durable. It is also resistant to rot and termites, making it a great choice for outdoor furniture. On top of that, Afrormosia teak wood is also easy to clean and maintain, so added with a little design element, it should be a unique little something.
Perhaps a coffee table, an end table for a lamp, or anything except for a set of coasters will be the best fit for this beautiful wood. What would you like to see?
Here are a few examples and some inspo pics on my Pinterest Board for using Afrormosia teak. Maybe we will come up with something.
